HEY! My sister is in a ice skating show tomorrow. Her hair is just about shoulder length (short) and I need some formal hairstyles that would stay back while she skates! Thanks for your help!! Pictures please!

Buy a hair donut (bun holder) you can get them from any beauty store, supermarket, shop anywhere. they’re fairly cheap and you simply put your hair in a ponytail, then push the donut to the top of the ponytail and spread the hair around it. Works great, just put a hairband thats the same colour of her hair and some bobby pins.
Any hairstyle with french plaits looks great and stays in place well, just make sure you use a good hairspray!

How long would it take for most hair stylists to do a half-up-half-down and curly kind of look for prom or grad? My hair is about to the middle of my back if this makes a difference.
I just need to know when to book my hair appointment and still give myself time to do makeup and stuff :)

DK, depends HOW you want them to do: wash, blow dry, set, straightened, curl, & style COULD take up to 1 1/2 hours. and HOW slow the hairdresser. I’ve been in there for 2 hours, just to get my hair wash, blow-dried, and she still have to re-cut my hair because she doesn’t really know what she’s doing!

My hairstyle took 3 mins. Wash 20 mins. blow dry 5 mins. Takes mom 10 mins. to cut and she’s not even a pro.

I need an easy hairstyle for formal events. My hair is halfway down my back, blonde, and very thick. It refuses to curl, straighten, or crimp. It also doesn’t stay if I braid it wet and take it our when it’s dry unless I use hairspray. I would like up dos please. Please keep them easy and on websites or write them out.
Zain- please extend that url
I repeat I CANNOT curl my hair

I think you should make cute short Blonde hairstyle it will look gorgeous for more information about it so you can visit usawholesalers.com/usa_wholesalers/cosmetics-13-1.html

This popular yahoo group has tons of pictures for the latest 2010/2011 hairstyles without adds or pop ups. There are also illustrations and how to’s with some links. It can take some patience, because there are so many different styles to view. The link is below.

Get yourself some rollers to get yourself started . The length is great. You can do pageboys, flips, updo’s, scene styles, straight hair using jumbo rollers, ect. You will probably want to do an updo.
Heat tools are terrible for hair and not only cause damage that looks horrible, and with continued use will cause permanent hair damage and or hair loss- Great for wig shops! Rollers produce longer lasting curl, gorgeous hair, don’t damage your hair, and are actually faster to use!
Take a look at my profile picture. It only took me 15 minutes to set my hair in rollers at night, then 20 minutes in the morning to remove the rollers and style it out. So what is faster, better for your hair and looks better? You can do the same thing for any hairstyle you would like. For an updo, Roll your hair with plastic rollers when it is wet with hair gel. After it is dry, take the rollers out and run your fingers through the curls. DONT BRUSH OR COMB THE CURLS. Then tease all of your hair. After your hair is teased and in a big mess, spray it with hairspray. After the hairspray it dry, gently brush your hair back into the desired up do and pin in up in the back. You can see some styles and roller diagrams from the link provided.
You can also use sponge or other types of softer rollers for sleeping. It takes some patience when first getting started, so don’t get discourage. It takes practice for awhile to get them in nicely and to get fast at it. And have some fun trying different styles !! -Your options are endless!!
You can get rollers at stores like Walmart, drug stores and grocery stores, but they sell out quickly because they are so popular now. You can also buy them online

You should leave it out and put some ringlets in it, then finish the hair do off with a pretty hairband. :)

Any links and/or pictures of pretty formal hairstyles for graduation or prom?
Preferably down or half up/half down, for long hair.

I have a trial tomorrow and I need some ideas for pretty hairstyles.
