So I’m wearing no makeup other than mascara, and I’m just trying to think of some really cute and funky hairstyles to do because my face will be so naked.
I love having my hair up. It is past my shoulders, to the top of my bra only and shorter in the back.
I can put it easily in a bun and ponytail.
Can you give me some cute hairstyles?
One of my favorites is a messy bun or half messy bun. It’s so simple, but super cute and edgy and takes about a minute.
Gather your hair as if you’re going to make a ponytail. You know how you pull it through the band several times to secure it? Pull it only halfway through the first time, then twist the band and cover the bump with the rest of the ponytail. Pull it through the band and twist again. If you still have more hair left over, repeat. If you don’t, just secure it again. You should have one hair bump covered with another layer of hair, and it will look slightly messy unless you have very long hair. Pull out a couple of strands of hair, and pull the bun like you would tighten a ponytail in different directions.
For a variation, do this with a half ponytail. It looks even better if you have long hair for this. It’s very unique, kind of a little style I invented for myself.
Afterthought: low messy pigtails with a pouf!

well they can do alot with their hair because its shoulder length but if they want to go wavy they get extensions etc. but when ashley has short hair she sometimes pulls her bangs up to the top of her head and wears a side ponytail or braids

your bangs sound a little like mine so my advise is to do like my avatar. braid it tight the night before and let it out in the morning or just do loose curls, then pin the side that your bangs aren’t on right behind your ear with a big colorful flower pin.

I’m nineteen years old and three months away from graduating a program that will help me achieve a career in health-care. This is all well and good, except for the fact that I am NINETEEN and would still like to maintain a fun, funky look. Before my foray into health-care education, I frequently dyed my hair wild colors with Manic Panic dyes, and loved every one of them. Now, with my boring "Blah Brown" hair, all I want is to add some more funky coloring. Does anyone have any suggestions on hairstyles that would allow me to dye part of my hair a wild color, but still be able to tie it back or hide it away for work? I have medium/long hair, that reaches about two inches past my shoulders. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Oh, and I’ve tried clip-ins, but I want something more permanent that doesn’t need constant pinning and straightening to get it to look right!

try coloring the middle layer in your hair so the color will peek thru ,. but you can tie it up for work to conceal the color

i just got my haircut. its in layers and hits just below my shoulders, i also got bangs that i kind of sweep off to the side. my hair its dirty blonde….any suggestions on cool ways to style it?? im tired of leaving it down or just pulling it into a ponytail.

Princess your hair! Take like the bits of hair closest to your face on each side and bobby pin them up. Experiment with different sized bits and how high you pin it up, I’m sure you’ll find a suitably gorgeous way of princessing 
Princessed hair looks better if you DON’T take the top layer. Right behind the top of your ear is good.
And yes, I have always called it "princessing" haha
Or you could just do variations on the ponytail – poof up the upper layer of hair, or do a twisted ponytail – either split your hair in half, like for pigtails, and twist each half towards the other, then tie the (low) ponytail or tie a ponytail and then flip it in on itself.
Sometimes when I have a new clip to show off or in spring when there’s flowers, I’ll pull my hair to one side and do a very loose, low, side ponytail. The tie should be in front of or on your shoulder. I love doing this with my orchids too, I think it looks kind of beachy for some reason.
Have you tried side parting your hair? It’s not for everyone, but it’s worth a try at least.
Or you could learn to braid, it’s not hard. Get one of your friends to teach you; I think it’d probably be a lot easier to learn from a person than from diagrams over the internet or something.
After you learn to braid, you can take the top section of one side of your hair (I usually do left) and do a short braid – just like 3 or 4 sections, keeping it close to your head, then clip it with a bow barrette or something. The clip should be on the left side, instead of in the middle.
