Archive for modern hairstyles

So I have been wanting to change my hairstyle for a few months and I want a Victorian-esqu hairstyle that I can wear everyday and it’s a little modern, anyone know any hairstyles like that.
Thanks =)

I need to know more about the length, texture of your hair.

Google Victorian hairstyles.

Im looking for a vintage hairstyle that can be worn now and be considered fashionable and modern. I have a fringe though, so it needs to be something that can include a fringe. My hair goes just below the shoulder, and it is layered. Is there anything that would work?
Kat, my hair is also reddish. Its ginger :D

Try a side braid and try and include your fringe. Or you can put a middle parting and on one side start twistingincluding your fringe, Keep twisting and twisting till you get to the bottom, Repeat on the other side and then tie both sides into a bun :)

Hope this helps :)

I’m very bored of my current hairstyle, I’ve uploaded a photo to show the length and what it looks like. Should I get a haircut? and if so what kind of hairstyles do you think would suit me? Thanks!

Cute! I think some long side bangs and choppy layers would look adorable :) Please answer my question!!:http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20111107152530AAKu0Re

I need some hairstyle/colour ideas for my modern vampire costume. What do you think would look best. I have no hair dye and i’ve got straightners but no curlers. My hair is dirty blonde naturally. My costume is black jeans, red/black top and a jacket.
I can curl or make waves in my hair using my straighteners though.

I think like pin straight maybe also u can curl ur hair with a flat iron it’s very simple, Look it up on youtube if you want to cause i think that would work too.

Plz make them modern hairstyles:))) I’m running out of hairstyles:) you can also add bows, flowers, stretchy headbands the big ones, bobbypins. It can be for winter summer anyday anywhere:))) thx alot:)
oh and I don’t have bangs just so u know:)

You can…
use hairspray to fake bangs then spray the hair in place.
make a messy bun.
wear a ponytail.
pull the front pieces back and bobby pin them.
part your hair to the side and pull the front hair back and clip it with a flower pin.
put your hair in a ponytail and wear a bow.
curl it with a straightener.
sleep with it braided (put a little mousse in damp hair the night before) then take the braids out in the morning.
scrunch it.
braid it.
fishtail braid it.
french braid it.
four strand braid it.
rope braid it.
tease/backcomb it for extra volume.
but it in a ponytail and pin pieces up in the ponytail to make a bun.
wear a handband with a flower clipped to it.
wear a clip in feather extension.
part it a different way than you usually do.
braid the front back and to the side then pin it like bangs and maybe add a flower.
wear a headband.
wear a headband with a ponytail or a bun.

Also, look up "hair tutorial" on youtube.

Good luck! (:

what are some hairstyles for me? I’m 18 but don’t want the standard buzz cut nor the highschool long hair anymore

A standard buzz cut used to mean a crew cut, flat top crew cut or ivy league(long crew cut.) Butches were primarily home haircuts for pre-teen boys. Currently, it seems that to many and regardless of age, standard buzz cut refers to a butch; notwithstanding that the style fully suits relatively few guys. As far as "Modern Hairstyling:"

A good barber can design a regular layer or taper cut or one of the short pomp(pompadour) styles-crew cut, ivy league, flat top crew cut- to fully suit almost any young guy’s head shape, face and neck shape, frontal hairline and facial features. If you need more ideas, than presented below, maybe take a look at the medium, long and celebrity galleries at the haircutsformen site.

Some barbers describe an ivy league as a crew cut just long enough to be parted and combed to the side, if so desired. An ivy league can also be worn with the hair brushed up off the forehead to form a short pomp front, or with the short bangs brushed down on the forehead like a forward brush cut.

Grooming any of the short pomp(pompadour) styles- crew cut, ivy league, flat top crew cut- is basically the same and takes about a minute or two.
1) Towel dry hair.
2) Barely dip fingertips in jar of wax.
3)Transfer wax to palms.
4) Smooth palms over hair.
5)Brush hair off forehead to form short pomp front.
Whichever style you decide on, be sure to take a photo to help describe the desired haircut to the barber. If you need more photos of any of the styles discussed above let me know.
Good Luck!

PLEASE HELP!
I’m in desperate need for a new haircut!

Personally, I get most of my hair cuts of myspace or celebrities. I do what I call page surfing. I’ll start at someone I knows page, and just dig through peoples profiles, usually public ones. I come up with LOTS of good haircuts that way. It may seem weird, I guess, but it works. Also, celebrities. Get a magazine and if you see a hairstyle you like, google the celebrity and look at their current and past do’s and pull something out of there. my favorite celebrity hair cuts are from Lauren Conrad, and Emma Watson. Best of luck! :]

Remember the style still makes him still look good lol and remember it cant be really long like it usually is cuz these days hair isnt really this long :P

I guess probably shorter like most guy hair but fluffier if you know what I mean haha but Ed’s hair is very unique as it is ;)
