I am 13 and our 8th grade prom is coming up in April and I need a hairstyle. I have hair about 1 inch past my shoulders. My dress is strapless but i am going to put straps on it. My mom wants my hair in a ponytail, but I really dont want it that way. I really want it down, but it would look better up. A lot of girls are already going to have their hair in a side ponytail. I really need some really pretty Prom hairstyles.

I find half-up, half-down styles really pretty and i think they might work for you…this would allow the focus to stay on your face but give you back coverage at the same time..

Up in a bun, with curly pieces hanging down, framing her face, and side swept bangs. You could add extensions, (clipins prolly) or a headband, or flowers to match dress. It’s best with a halter, when most of the embesslishments may be at the top, to wear hair up, You could also get a hair piece, one with a clasp clip from like Ulta, or Rite Aid even. Lol.
