I have shoulder-length, straight hair. I want something that I can wear for school and that’s sort of simple to do. I have about 15-30 mins to work on my hair. The only restriction: NO CURLING!!! I don’t have a curling iron and it would look too volume-y (my hair is thick). Please and thank you!!

I kinda like my hair. I wear it in a ponytail because I cant wear it down cause its to puffy. I want hair like the celebraties!

Is your hair curly or wavy or straight or what?? If you want it to be more like the stars and its curly or wavy you can by a straightener/flat iron and straighten it and it will make it glossy and it will lay nicely or you can curl your hair with a 1 – 1.5 inches but only hold it on your hair for like 30 seconds and you will have nice lose curls.

I have shoulder length hair too. I usually throw it up in a messy bun or straighten it. When i want to look nice I flip my bangs out of my face so they’re curled over my hair. To do that I take an inch barrel size curling iron. I take my bangs (they’re long it just looks like I have angled hair) curl the hair and bring the hair back over my head as I go. I also sometimes do a volume ponytail. I part my hair in the center of my head. Then with a rat-tail comb, where the middle of my eye is I run the comb through my hair and pull the hair into a clip. I tie the rest of my hair back. Then I take the separated hair and put it in front of my face. I take layer by layer and start teasing. Each teased section I put to the back of my head so it’s out of my face. After I’m done teasing, I tilt my head back pull it all into the ponytail and I’m done. Sorry if that’s confusing. maybe get it cut choppy-ish if its straight.
just so its not all one length and boring.
and then you’ll have layers from it being choppy, so you can have a fauxhawk.

Going to a semi formal event…wearing a nice dress and have no clue as to what to do w/my hair. It’s dk brown, straight, shoulder length.. I think I want to wear it down…but what to do w/it?? any suggestions??

Wear your hair how you are most comfortable. If you wear your hair in a way you’re not comfortable you’ll be concerned about it all night. That lends to playing with it to make sure it’s still styled … that’s the wrong type of attention.

I’m sure your a beautiful young lady so it doesn’t matter if your hair is up or down. Make sure it’s clean and styled and you’ll be fine.

ponytails, side ponytails, pigtails, braids, half pontail, and messy bun or just leave down. use ribbons, colorful ponytail, headbands, and bobbypins. just work with your natural hair.

you could do something like this but wih it short (short enough to spike it ) and then only have the front sides as long as you have it now. That would look realy good
