I actually had her hair in soft braids the day before, which left a subtle curl throughout the hair, adding volume and style to the hairdo.

In this self french fishtail braided autumn/fall 2011 hair tutorial I’ll show you how to create two cute and versatile hairstyles without heat or teasing. I start from a big side swept braid and then transform it into an elegant braided updo a-la “faux bob” with a assymetric touch to it. These hairstyles work best on wavy or curly medium long hair, both layered hair and hair of the same length. If your hair is longer than that, you can either put into a messy braid or create a bun using one of the techniques that I’ve shown in my previous videos.

The stylish french fishtail braid keeps your hair away from the face and neck and it’s a great casual hairstyle with an elegant touch that you can wear to school, college, university, work and office. The second updo hairstyle is a little bit more formal and it is suitable for special occasions such as prom, homecoming, graduation party, ball, reception or wedding guests. Properly accessorized, this red carpet hairstyle will also look great as a bridal or bridesmaid updo. Both hairdos are very romantic and they are great for the first date, a night out, a party, dancers (for a dance competition) and all kind of evening events.

Medium hairstyles (http://bit.ly/o2gvA3 / 2011) are among the most carefree styles to keep up. They are perfect for the harried career woman who does not get the chance to sit down and deal with her hair. For convenience and ease, mid-length hairstyles have no equal.

Medium hairstyles are a popular choice because they are versatile and flatter many hair types and face shapes. They fit oval, angular and even round faces. Flattering medium hairstyles for round faces incorporate layers to frame the face and hide the fullness of the cheeks. Stars such as Cameron Diaz have medium that flatter their round faces.

While usually casual and carefree, medium hair can also be styled more sleekly for special occasions such as proms, galas or wedding ceremonies. Wedding hairdos for medium hair may span the spectrum from soft curls or jagged layers to pulled-back half-up-dos. Formal medium are terrific since they are not so long that they require too much work, unlike styles for long locks. They are not overly short either, but just long enough to pull back into an elegant chignon or french twist.

Mid-length hairdos are simpler to keep up, and don’t need as much styling product. If you decide to change to a medium hairstyle, layers are a good choice. Choose jagged layers instead of soft ones, because they won’t need to be trimmed quite as often.

For those with curly medium-length hair, stick with longer layers that are cut across the whole length of your hair. Long layers also work for straight mid-length tresses. The finished look appears easy but stylish at the same time. It requires minimal upkeep, and you will thank your hairstylist for it. Mid-length hairstyles can be left down or pulled back into a perky ponytail. You might even clip in some hair accessories to spruce up your style even further.

We all know that keeping the hair healthy is an important part of our daily personal care, but some of us simply don’t have much time for it. Medium hairdos are the perfect solution. They combine versatility and convenience as we meet the everyday demands of life, but nevertheless making us look great.
